Meet Diesel — Gentle, Playful, and Ready for His People

Diesel is a handsome young pup with a sleek black coat and a curly tail that matches his playful spirit. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and goofy personality starts to shine. He enjoys spending time with other dogs at the shelter and is building confidence through play. Diesel loves his walks and is getting the hang of leash time — especially when it comes with a few stops for pets and cuddles along the way. While he may hang back a little at first, he’s always watching and waiting for someone to invite him into the fun. Diesel is gentle, sweet-natured, and has a kind heart. He’s been tested around cats and may be able to live with a calm one, given proper introductions. He’d thrive in a home that can offer him patience, structure, and a bit of room to let loose and play.

Diesel is a great fit for someone looking for a loyal, mellow companion with a playful side.

History: Diesel was rescued off the streets in Baja Sur with his 3 siblings.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
