Fauna is silly, funny and very playful. She has some inner ear issues still being diagnosed but it affects her balance and she sometimes tilts her head funny. We are attempting to diagnose Fauna's condition so a local adopter would be best for her. Fauna would do best in a home with another dog since having a buddy to play with seems to help distract her. Fauna may even get along with your calm cat with proper introductions.

Health: Fuana has been diagnosed with idiopathic vestibular syndrome. Here's some details: It is a condition that affects a dog's balance and is caused by issues in the inner and middle ear. Some dogs make a full recovery, while others may have residual symptoms like a head tilt or abnormal balance. Idiopathic vestibular syndrome doesn't usually shorten a dog's life expectancy. These side affects it actually makes Fauna more endearing with her goofy ways. Another dog to play with helps curb the side affects by keeping her busy. 

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
