Marshall

I'm Available

9/29: weight is 55 lbs

Marshall is a big hunk of love. He yearns for his very own human to be with. He is silly and goofy and loves to play. You should see him prance around when working on his leash. He's so proud to be on the other end of that leash. The more time you spend around Marshall the more you will love him. When Marshall was surrendered to Cortez Rescue he didn’t have any leash manners and it was challenging for handlers to get in and out of his kennel without him crowding the threshold and seemingly ready to bolt if given the chance. After a few short months of training Marshall now has excellent kennel manners, easy for handlers to come and go without him crowding or ready to run. He’s more relaxed in his kennel and makes good eye contact with his handler. He has learned, and performs consistently, sit and heel and responds to ‘leave it’ to redirect his attention as necessary all on leash. Marshall continues to be introduced in Playgroup but because he’s not been well socialized in his past, he only has a small group of dogs he’s compatible with. He would do best being an only pet in the home. Marshall will do best with a confident and experienced handler. Marshall has not shown any aggression towards his handlers. He’s sensitive and will respond accordingly to the energy his handler provides. Marshall will be a great dog for the right person in the right home. Marshall was surrendered by his owner because of a high prey drive and he was killing chickens.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, Marshall will be given a full medical assessment to insure he remains in optimum health. This pup currently lives in Baja near Cabo San Lucas.
