7/15: weight is 49.6 lbs
Xicalli has completed her Training School and this is a note from her trainer: "Xicalli is a queen. She is very loving, unique and independent. She is very obedient and focused. She is social with people. Xicalli is a balanced dog, she focuses on her tasks and when the right moment arrives she lives the moment of the game. Her ideal home is with a family with regular activity, a lot of love and it is recommended that if there is another dog, it should be a male dog, to balance her energy."
Xicalli was dumped at the gates to the Rescue. Luckily she was in pretty good shape with just an eye infection. This girl is strong for her size. Xicalli is sweet and fun and she loves to run. She is playful and silly as a pup. She really like scratches and pets.
Foster Mom before school: Calli has a very big heart and is a very sweet and loving dog. She’s a very pretty dog to boot — with a thick coat that makes her run a bit hot (she might enjoy a cooler climate than Mexico!). She can keep to herself and respect your space but also loves a good cuddle and playtime. She has pretty good manners and will understand basic commands. When we had her, she slept in our bedroom on the floor very politely all night, and only came up on the bed to say good morning (with our encouragement). She’s extremely curious and so excited to be outside. She’s pretty chill around other dogs & loves to play and doesn’t bark. Overall we loved Calli and would recommend her to anyone..
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, Xicalli will be given a full medical assessment to insure she is in optimum health. She currently lives in Baja near Cabo San Lucas.
