04/09/24 Foster Update:
I just wanted to give an update on Beau. We are completely in love with him and he is doing so well. Our dog Izzy absolutely loves him and they get along great. He is really settling in and seems to be happy. He has mastered sit, he is pretty much perfect in the potty training and he is getting to go on tons of walks. He plays really well with all the dogs in the rv park but Izzy likes to mother him so we have to remind her he’s playing and it’s ok. Today was a big day because he finally found out that playing in the water is so fun. He has been hesitant but today he went in all by himself to play with Izzy. He had the best time in the water. Also since we are in an rv, Izzy is trained to wait at the top of the steps to let us get out before she comes out and he learned the same so fast. He is very patient and very good motivated. I hope he gets adopted soon, I know he is gonna be such a good dog.
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to insure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and desexed. Cortez dogs are not microchipped.
