Hello there, future family! My name is Anubis, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself to you. I'm a sweet and smart boy who has recently been liberated from a life on a chain. Currently, I'm soaking up all the love and care in dog training school, and I'm eagerly awaiting my flight to join my forever family!
My journey hasn't been without its challenges. I was discovered tied up and abandoned when my previous owners parted ways, leaving me behind like an afterthought. But fear not, for those days are behind me now, and I'm embracing the joy of freedom and the thrill of learning what it truly means to be a dog.
I'm currently in foster care in Baja Mexico, enjoying the company of caring individuals who are helping me become the best version of myself. I've got a love for running around the yard and doing zoomies – it's the best feeling ever! Toys and chewies are my absolute favorites, and I can't wait to share these moments of joy with you.
Walking on a leash? No problem for me! I'm a quick learner, and I'm excited to show off my skills. Meeting new dogs? Count me in! I'm enthusiastic about making friends, though my initial energy might be a tad overwhelming for some. However, I promise it's just my way of expressing pure happiness.
In my previous neighborhood, I had a blast with the neighbors' kids. Children and I get along famously! As for my comfort zone, I'm still getting used to my new surroundings. While I don't have a foster home just yet, I've got a secured yard and kennel area on a local business's lot. It's my own little haven!
Now, let's talk about something important. I can be a bit cautious around new people, so proper introductions are a must. There's something about hats and sunglasses that makes me a bit uneasy, and I'll definitely let you know if I'm not feeling it. Oh, and there was this one incident – I bit someone who reached through the gate. I'd given cues that I wasn't comfortable, but when the person persisted, I had to let them know I meant business. Don't worry, though; it was a one-time thing, and I've never done it since.
I'm a work in progress, learning and growing each day. With the right family, patience, and understanding, I know I can become the perfect companion. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a loving, spirited dog like me, let's embark on this adventure together. I can't wait to meet you and become a cherished member of your family!
