Basil was abandoned with her sister outside a construction site next to Cortez. One of the workers brought them in.

Foster Update: Basil is a gem.  She will melt your heart with her sweetness and her eyebrows. She’s the chillest of the B sisters. She’s learning to love-cuddle. Basil sits on command and loves time with a chew toy. She is the queen of the big dog bed and prefers to nap in the comfort of the shade. Her human foster sister loves to take her for swims in the pool. She simply floats around in her sister’s arms, without a worry in the world. She sleeps outside in the kennel without a peep until 6:30 am and is a quiet girl. She sits on command and eats from a slow feed dish. Basil loves kids, adults and other dogs! She is great in the car, too!

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and desexed. All dogs are microchipped before leaving Mexico.
