Foster Update 07/11/24: Lainey is really starting to come out of her little shell! She is such a goofy girl. She loves going for walks but her fave is the dog park for sure! She is obsessed with balls! 

Foster Update 03/19/24:

We fostered our first dog from Cortez Rescue Layla for a week before she flew to her furever home. We enjoyed Layla so much that we went back to the rescue to meet her siblings and foster another. It was love at first sight with Lainey! She was adorable at our first meeting! We brought her home and she has blossomed from a shelter dog to a perfect part of the family. Lainey is house trained and loves to give kisses when greeting you. She can sit and come when she is called. She hasn't been very vocal at all, we can go days without hearing her bark. She is responding well to being told NO and OFF. Lainey loves to explore and meet new people and other dogs. She plays alone in the yard for hours and gets super excited when you come out and toss her toys for her and play fetch. What I love most about Lainey is that she is a cuddle bug. She is so soft and doesn't shed a ton. She would make an amazing addition to your family!

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, Lainey was given a full medical assessment to insure optimum health, she is current on vaccinations, and spayed. Cortez dogs are not microchipped.
