Foster Update: "Miss Lily is doing well. She is a good Chi. She is house trained; never had an accident with us. Lily is great on leash and off leash too. She loves car/quad rides and walks on the beach but not into getting her little paws wet. She does not like to be crated. Lily sleeps on the bed with us and snuggles her nose in.
Lily prefers to be with her person all the time. She has abandonment issues and cries when left alone. She goes everywhere with us 99% of the time. At meal times she likes her person to sit and be with her while she eats. Lily is good with cats but can be snappy when Ginger (and other dogs) get close to me. Lilly is a little shy meeting new people but will warm up very quickly with treats!"
This little lady has been through a lot since her time with Cortez. She was found abandoned in a small Mexican town. Lily went to a foster home and to all of our surprise she went in to labor. 11 years old and pregnant! Sadly the 4 babies she birthed did not survive. Lily was then rushed into emergency surgery for ruptured uterus and spleen. After a few days she was released to go to a foster home and here is what her new foster mom has to say:
Lily is as sweet as she looks. She follows me everywhere like a shadow. She sleeps all night in her bed. She is house trained. Being that she's 11 she is not super active and just prefers to be snuggled up with me. She gives a little growl when one of my dogs get's close but she is easily corrected with a firm "No". She is good on a leash too. Lily is still recovering from surgery but doing really well.
