Meet Ollie 🐾 – A True Herding Mix Looking for His Person
Ollie is a 2.5-year-old Baja rescue with a sharp mind, a loyal heart, and all the traits you’d expect from a herding breed mix. He’s intelligent, tuned-in, and thrives when he has both a job to do and a person to do it with.
He’s spent the last 7 months at The Dog School in San José del Cabo building a solid foundation in obedience and social skills. Ollie knows his commands, understands structure, and is ready to transition into a home that will continue to work with him and give him purpose.
Herding mixes like Ollie aren’t “set it and forget it” dogs — and that’s exactly what makes them so rewarding.
He needs:
When those needs are met, Ollie shines. He’s incredibly connected, responsive, and deeply loyal to his person. He wants to be involved, included, and challenged in a way that keeps both his body and mind active.
Ollie will do best with an experienced, active adopter who understands the nature of herding breeds and appreciates what they bring — intelligence, sensitivity, and an unmatched ability to bond.
He prefers to be the only pet in the home and is not suited for cats or small children.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue: All dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
