Meet Yoka – Gentle Soul, Quietly Blooming

Yoka is a beautiful young pup with striking soulful eyes that make you pause. When she first arrived, everything felt a little overwhelming — but she’s already starting to settle in and find her footing.

She’s becoming more comfortable at the rescue, taking in her surroundings with growing confidence and showing more of her sweet, affectionate nature each day. Yoka still approaches new things with a bit of caution, but now there’s curiosity behind it — and that’s where the magic is starting.

Give her a little time, a little patience, and you’ll see her open up in the most genuine, heart-melting way.

Yoka is expected to be medium-sized when fully grown and would do best in a calm, supportive home that will continue helping her build confidence at her own pace.

Yoka has been tested with our resident cats and may get along with your calm cat with proper introduction.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
