I graduated with flying colors from Dog School and am currently being fostered in Baja, Mexico, but I'm ready to fly to you!
Jason has been with Cortez Rescue for over 3 years, and all his fosters say they would adopt him if they didn’t already have dogs of their own. If you give him a chance, you'll gain a loving, intelligent, and loyal companion. Here's what his fosters and others have to say about him:
Jason is a sweet and easygoing boy who enjoys walks, car rides, and meeting new people. He barks briefly at unfamiliar noises but settles down quickly. His intelligence makes training a breeze—he masters new skills and agility tasks with ease. Jason loves making eye contact and connecting emotionally with his person. He is playful and gets along with most other dogs, though his strength means he should be monitored closely when meeting new ones.
Jason is an excellent hiker, both on and off-leash, and would be a great match for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures. He is not a runner, and will check back in with you when off-leash. One volunteer who has hiked and trained with him said, "I LOVE this guy! He looks up to me for direction and wants to do the right thing. The right person will be lucky to have him. Continued training and plenty of exercise will make him a loyal and wonderful friend."
Jason graduated as a star student from Dog School. His trainer noted, "Jason is a natural athlete and takes on challenges with enthusiasm. He loves playing with balls and doing agility circuits. He’s highly obedient and affectionate, with a protective instinct when given proper love." The head trainer would have adopted him but already had a full pack.
Cortez Rescue recommends Jason be adopted by an experienced handler who can continue his training and support him as he navigates his new life.
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, Jason will undergo a full medical assessment to ensure he remains in top health. He currently resides in Baja near Cabo San Lucas and is not microchipped.
