Foster Update: Lora is a medium energy puppy who is awkward and gawky, like any twelve-year old girl. She loves deeply and needs comfort and hugs and snuggles, but she also wants her own independence. She wants to make her own decisions, but at the slightest inconvenience she comes running back to get help with whatever project she’s working on, like chasing a ground squirrel or finding her lost ball. She doesn’t have a very well-honed prey drive, though, and calls off easily. Lora looks goofy at this age with her big lopsided ears and grin as she grows into her adolescent body. She loves to go on adventures wherever you are going and does not bark or jump. She is crate trained. She is not afraid of robot vacuums or my noisy ATV. Lora is timid and cautious outside of the home when on walks, though. She has no interest in chasing cars and even finds them intimidating. Lora did not chew anything in the house except sticks and balls, but like any twelve-year old she loves shoes. She loved to nibble along the edges while watching me to gauge the reaction. She is easily trainable as she is highly food motivated and eager to please. She wants to do the right thing. She’s learning. Please adopt Lora and give her the home and the direction that any young girl needs.
Lora is a very funny girl. She’s so smart and sweet too. She talks and she self entertains…we find her often talking and playing in her blanket on her bed. She’s great with other dogs of all sizes & she currently lives with 11 other puppies & dogs. She sleeps all night and is house-trained. She runs to her kennel & sits for her meals. She’s food motivated so she was easy to train. She’s great in kennel too and loves toys. She is great in social settings with other dogs and people & kids. She lays around and is pretty mellow. She loads & unloads perfectly in & out of our car & ATV. She enjoys car & ATV rides & going to the beach. We just adore her and love fostering her, she’s so easy. She’s a very loving pup and we love her so much! She’s going to make someone or a family very happy, she’s the best! ?

Lora has been tested with cats. She seems distrustful of them but doesn’t attack them; more that she is unsure of them.
