Duna is deaf.
Foster update:Duna was surrendered by a family in La Paz BCS who could no longer care for her. She was born deaf, but has adapted quite well. She responds to a few hand signals, such as come and sit and can learn much more with the right training. She likes to keep you in her sight so as to know what you want. She walks great on leash, but she can also go off leash and doesn’t wander far. She gets along great with other dogs; however, her style of play can be a bit rough at times. She likes to go to the ocean and has been swimming when she follows her foster brothers and sister. She is very good in the car and especially likes the passenger seat but is very quiet in the back as well. She is not crate trained, but does like small spaces she can call her own. Duna is completely house trained which is a huge plus for her adoptive family. Her best quality is her love of people. Before leaving Cortez Rescue, Duna will be given a full medical assessment to ensure she remains in optimum health.
Duna is a good dog; very attentive. She is always watching you for a clue of what to do. She is very good with hand signals.
