Our sweet boy Flynt has had such a rough go in his short life. On October 27, 2023 he broke his leg after getting stuck in some fencing. Surgery was preformed and his recovery was going really good but after awhile the Vet determined that plate that was used to repair the break needed to be removed so another surgery was done on January 9, 2024. Flynt wasn't so lucky this time and sadly he stopped using his bad leg all together. But it never slowed him down. Unfortunately after a few consults we determined that best action would be to remove the leg. Flynt had surgery on March 22, 2024 and is now in recovery to live his best, pain free life. After all  he's been through he is still the sweetest boy. 

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to insure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and desexed. Cortez dogs are not microchipped.
