Meet Ukie! This sweet, timid girl is looking for a loving and patient home. Ukie can be shy and is easily startled by sudden noises and movements, so she needs someone who will give her the space and time to feel comfortable and come out of her shell. She's already good with a collar and harness but is still getting used to a leash. Ukie is incredibly loving and gets along well with other dogs. She just needs someone who understands that building trust takes time. If you're ready to give Ukie the love and patience she deserves, she will surely become a wonderful companion.
Foster Update: This sweet 6-month-old girl has stolen our hearts. She's playful, loving, and smart, but she's also quite timid, especially around men. We've had Ukie for over five weeks, and while she's starting to trust me, she still gets nervous around my husband. It’s quite the contradiction: she snuggles up to him every morning and night but barks when he walks in during the day. Ukie deserves a better life! She is going to need a very special person/family and would be better with another dog.
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and desexed. All dogs are microchipped before leaving Mexico.
