Yola is a beautiful black pup with a soft white patch on her chest and the kind of soulful eyes that quietly draw you in. When she first arrived, the world felt big and uncertain — but she’s already come such a long way.

She’s becoming more comfortable at the rescue, starting to relax, explore, and show her gentle, affectionate side. Yola still takes a moment to take things in, but now you can see her curiosity growing. With a little patience and kindness, she warms up and leans into connection in the sweetest way.

There’s something really special about her — a quiet softness mixed with a growing confidence that makes you root for her.

Yola is expected to be medium-sized when fully grown and would thrive in a calm, supportive home that gives her the time and space to keep building confidence.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
