I've found my furever family!

3/23: current weight is 42 lbs

Foster Update: Candy is super sweet and very accommodating. She is SMART! She learns quickly. Candy is GREAT on leash and if someone wants to teach this dog lots of different commands/behaviors, this dog is game. Although she is a dog who loves to chase a ball she can settle down quickly.  This pup is a love bug and wants to be with her human(s). She'd be a great family dog or the perfect companion for trail hikes and beach runs. 

Candy and 5 other dogs were living a life on chain until some wonderful people found them. We explained to the owner that this was no life for a dog and that Cortez Rescue could find a great home with all the love and freedom she deserves. Luckily he did the right thing and agreed to give her up. 

Candy is sweet as they come. She would be happy to be your lap dog. She loves all the affection she can get. She loves to play fetch and play with other dogs too. She's a natural on leash and would be a great walking or hiking buddy.
