Dolores – Sweet, Playful, and Loyal
Dolores is a very sweet girl with a playful, fun-loving personality. She absolutely loves being outdoors and gets along well with other dogs. She’s also incredibly gentle with children and enjoys being close to her people — she’s never far from our side. Even if the gate is open, she may wander for a minute, but she always comes right back. Dolores rides great in the car and is a calm passenger. She’s not fully potty trained yet, but she’s learning with time and patience. One thing to note — she does have a strong prey drive and will definitely chase cats, so a cat-free home would be best. She’s also a little protective of her food. Even if her bowl is empty, she’ll guard it if another dog walks by. That said, she's very manageable and just needs someone who understands her boundaries.

Dolores is a good girl — loyal, loving, and eager learn and be part of a family. She’s ready to thrive with the right guidance and a little structure in her daily routine.

Foster Notes... loves to be outside, gets along good with other dogs and is definitely a cat chaser. Very gentle with kids. not potty, trained. Stays close to us. Even if the gate is open she will wander out for a minute but come right back to be where we are. She is protective of her food. Even if another dog walks by it when it's empty. Rides in the car great.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue: All dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
