Looking for a bigger dog? This sweet boy is fun and energetic with a beautiful black, glossy, short hair coat. He has a distinctive ridge down the center of his back. He is super affectionate and a great cuddle buddy despite his size. He is working on leash skills, is house trained and knows basic commands. Many people look past larger dogs because they are afraid they will be hard to handle... This guy is chill. Gizmo may even get along with your chill cat with proper introductions. If you're searching for a loyal, stick by your side companion, he's your boy!
Gizmo would do best in a home where he was the only dog as he prefers your full attention.

However, it's essential to understand that while we strive to assess their compatibility with cats, we cannot guarantee their behavior in all situations.)
Gizmo was discovered as a baby abandoned alongside his eight litter mates and brought to the shelter for help. Despite his challenging beginnings, he has flourished in his foster home and will make someone a wonderful, loyal dog.
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are microchipped before leaving Mexico.
