Meet This Young Dog – Past the Tiny Puppy Stage, Ready for Real Life
Gobi has finished vetting and is ready to move on from the rescue into a home of his own. At around 5–12 months old, he's in that ideal stage — playful and full of life, but past the very young puppy phase.
This is a dog who is already starting to settle, learn routines, and show their personality. He is curious, engaged, and ready to connect, making him a great fit for someone who wants a young dog without starting completely from scratch.
Gobi will still need guidance and consistency, but he's at an age where things start to click — and that’s when the bond really forms.
What This Dog Needs:
A foster or adopter ready for a young dog
Basic structure and continued guidance
A home where they can be included and build confidence
Gobi is healthy, vetted, and ready now.
He doesn't need more time in the rescue — he needs a home.
Before leaving Cortez Rescue: All dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
Special Puppy Note: Puppies flying to the US must be a minimum of 6 months old.
