Meet Honey – A Gentle Soul Learning to Trust
Honey is one of those dogs you don’t forget. Quiet, soft, and deeply loyal, she has a way of connecting that goes beyond the surface. Spend a little time with her, and you’ll understand just how special she is.
Her story says everything about her heart. After her puppies were taken into the shelter, Honey found a way in herself — digging under a fence just to be close to them. She’s the only dog we’ve ever seen do that.
Since then, Honey has been slowly learning that she is safe. She didn’t trust the leash at first, but with patience and kindness from the volunteers, she now looks forward to short, gentle outings. She’s still building confidence, preferring quiet time and close connection over long adventures — for now.
Honey is incredibly gentle and eager to please. She does best with calm energy and soft guidance, and it’s important that everything with her, especially on leash, is done with patience and care.
She gets along well with other dogs but would also be perfectly content as your one and only, as long as she has her person close by.
What Honey Needs:
Honey isn’t a dog for a busy or chaotic home. She’s for someone who understands that trust takes time — and that the bond on the other side of that is something truly rare.
She’s not fully ready yet, but she’s getting there.
And when she is… she’s going to be someone’s everything.
