04/03/23 Hutch is doing amazing in Foster. Getting along with most dogs. Small pups get him a little too excited. He has a girlfriend now and they play all the time. Hutch will do great with another his size or bigger. Still a sweet, cuddly boy. House trained too!
Update! Hutch got out of the Rescue and went to Foster. It made all the difference! Hutch has proven himself to be really good boy. He is doing well meeting other dogs, not so anxious like at the rescue. He is still looking for his perfect playmate but we know it will happen. Hutch is so sweet and loves to be cuddled. He is doing well on walks and not reacting like he was before. Hutch is crate trained and will sleep all night without a peep.
Hutch came in with a buddy to the rescue. He had a damaged leg and required surgery. Because of this he had to alone in his in kennel to recover. Since spending so much time in his kennel alone he has become very dog reactive. It seems he just wants a play buddy but his overzealous behavior scares other dogs away. Once fully recovered we can begin to introduce to him to other dogs. Hutch is good on leash and easy going unless he spots another dog. He likes to play fetch and is good at bringing it back. He loves attention and lots of affection. He is a snuggle bug.
