Junior is a striking Labrador mix pup with a heart as big as his love for water. Splashing, swimming, lounging, or playing fetch—if it involves water, Junior is all in! He’s a playful, outdoorsy boy who would be the perfect adventure buddy for an active family or anyone who enjoys lake days, beach walks, or water sports.

DNA-tested at 50% Black Lab, Junior has all the best Lab traits—he’s loyal, affectionate, and eager to please. He knows how to sit, listens well, and would happily curl up in your lap if you let him. Belly rubs and one-on-one time are his absolute favorite.

Junior can be a little shy at first, especially around young children, so a home with kids over 10 would be best. Once he feels safe, his sweet and goofy side shines through—he’ll be your faithful shadow and best friend.

With a medium energy level, Junior has the perfect balance of playtime and downtime. He’s learning to swim, loves fetch, and will happily join you on any adventure—or simply relax by your side.

History: Junior was found abandoned on the streets in a nearby town with 3 of his siblings.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
