10/19: weight is 58.4 lbs
Kira, our little pitopotomus, we call her. She is so happy to be off the 3 foot chain she was attached to in the corner of a parking lot for who knows how long. All we know is that she was fed well and came to us quite obese. Kira is full of happy, happy. She loves everyone and can't get enough attention. This girl can run and loves too! She really likes walks too but leash skills are not her thing at this point as she just wants to go. Kira has already lost 5lbs since coming to the rescue and her waist line is showing. She shows interest in other dogs and seems to just want a friend to play with but need to find her the right one. This girl will make you smile every time you look her and she is quite entertaining too!
Kira really wants a dog friend to play with but she is an in your face kinda girl. Will proper introductions we are confident she could find that friend.
From a Foster: I have had a limited, wonderful time fostering Kira. I am optimistic & hopeful that in a structured meet & greet, she would be friendly and playful, not aggressive. We had dog encounter tonight. Kira walked in that direction of the dog. The other party stopped with their dog until I could get to Kira. I held her while they walked by. Kira struggled to get out of the embrace but her tail was wagging the whole time.
From Kira's last Foster: Kira is very loving and sweet. Not a mean bone in her body. She thinks she's a lap dog. She is great in the car. She insists on her daily walks. Kira is very excited to see other dogs on her walks but we were reluctant to have a face to face meet as we weren't sure how she would respond. We had one encounter at a bakery where Kira was next to other dogs and we had no issues.
