Foster Update 02/23/24:  Kanan is a special little guy! He is very smart! He can sit, jump, and lay down for a treat! He loves to run down the beach! And when you say, “Kanan come!” he runs right back to you and sits for a treat! He loves to sleep beside you at night. He plays with his toys on his own. He will sit and wait for you to put food in his dish! I hope you enjoy him as much as we did. It was so amazing to foster him!

Foster Update 02/19/24:  Kanan would be a fantastic addition to any family. He has been an absolute delight to foster and has been easy to train over the two weeks we have been fostering. Kanan is calm and smart and we have witnessed his confidence grow with humans (big and small) and other dogs. He travels well (quad included) and can be taken anywhere with you. Kanan deserves a great family where he can continue to make everyone smile! 

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to insure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and desexed. Cortez dogs are not microchipped.
