Meet Koala, this handsome boy has a gorgeous wavy coat and beautiful markings. He is quite friendly with people and a bit reserved with other bigger dogs. He rides well in the car. Koala is good on and off leash, coming when called. He is house trained. Koala is patiently waiting for his forever home. Please contact Cortez Rescue if you are interested in adopting Koala.
Foster Update 01/26/2025: I call Koala Kurly because he has longish curly hair. He is extremely friendly, although little timid with the other bigger dogs, he does play with them. He is learning to jump into the jeep and rides very well. Koala is good off leash and comes when he is called. He also walks quite well on a leash. Koala has never had an accident in the house and he seems fully house trained. He barks a bit, but usually only when the other dogs start.
History: A video was posted on social media about a litter of puppies that had been seen in bushes under a bridge, the person who went to feed them told CR about it. A volunteer from CR went the next day and found them hiding in the bushes. Some of them were in a very deteriorated physical state.
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, be current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
