I'm Leche and all I have is love to give! I'm currently in Baja, Mexico but I'm ready to fly to you!!

This beautiful girl was rescued from the garbage dump with 3 others. Leche is very shy at first but once she gets to know you all she has is love to give. She is frightened of other dogs at first but she submits to them. Once she knows they aren't there to hurt her she is ok. Leche is not into playing but rather just wants be close to you and get lots of pets.

Leche does have an issue with her back end. She tends to walk and run like a rabbit with both back legs together. We don't believe she's in any pain and we're not quite sure what's wrong. But she is receiving therapy to help loosen her back up, including daily stretching and a proprioceptive sensor for 2 hours a day.  Water therapy would also be great for her but she needs a foster with pool.

09/05/23 Medical update: Leche has bilateral hip dysplasia with possible tendon damage. Best scenario is physical therapy. She is on joint supplements and we've seen some improvement.

09/04/23 Update! Leche has come out of her shell! She is a very happy and loving girl. She will give you hugs and wants to be a lap dog. Pets are #1 on her list of favorite things. She's become more playful with other dogs but does loves to lay in the shade and chill. This is one easy girl.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to insure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and desexed. Cortez dogs are not microchipped.
