Lucy was rescued from a house where she was tied up all the time and wasn't fed.
Foster Update: Lucy is a great dog! She is very mellow, well-behaved in and out of the house, and seldom barks. She gets along very well with my two dogs and two Fosters. They range in age from five months to 12 years. It took her a couple days to begin interacting with them. She wasn’t fearful she just avoided them. Now she plays with all of them, especially the puppies. When meeting new people, Lucy never jumps up them. She is completely house trained and knows a few commands. She walks well on and off leash. She waits for her food and is never aggressive. Her favorite activity is swimming. She needed no encouragement to go in the ocean.
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and desexed. All dogs are microchipped before leaving Mexico.
