Hello! My name is Luigi! I'm a beautiful brindle boy! I'm in foster in Baja, MX! And I'm ready to fly to you!!

From most recent Foster Mom: This situation weighs heavily on my heart. I have deep affection for this boy, wholeheartedly. He embodies Ike's spirit in a unique form (Our first rescue pup from Cortez). If our lifestyle allowed for it, I would unquestionably keep him. He possesses a rare combination of sweetness, affection, and intelligence, making him truly exceptional.

From Luigi's foster mom: Luigi is an exquisite brindle boy filled with affection. He generally gets along with other dogs, though he exhibits leash-related impoliteness when meeting new canine friends. Off-leash encounters are much smoother, and his behavior is easily corrected and redirected. Occasionally, he displays resource guarding tendencies with toys, food, and sometimes humans, but these behaviors are correctable with consistent redirection, notably using a spray bottle which has proven effective. Although he can come across as a bit intimidating or domineering, he responds well to guidance and ceases such behavior when corrected.

Luigi is a fantastic travel companion, comfortable in both cars and ATVs. His willingness to learn and please makes him highly trainable, especially when motivated by love and treats. During a cat test, he didn't show aggression but did bark and growl, indicating uncertainty. Therefore, an experienced adopter would be ideal if they have cats.

He has interacted positively with children at pup-ups and social events and enjoys affectionate gestures; he adores being held, cuddled, and kissed, revealing his truly affectionate nature.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to insure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and desexed. Cortez dogs are not microchipped.
