Luna loves people, hugs and affection. She captures every heart she meets. She is a lover not a fighter who is gentle and sweet. When it’s time to be let out for playtime in the yard, she waits patiently at her kennel door while other dogs around her jump chaotically and carry on barking. A mama to a previous litter, this girl is always ready to offer affection. She greets everyone as they enter her area with a calm demeanor and never jumps up. Luna enjoys spending time with humans, appreciating every moment even if it’s just sitting next to someone while getting pats. She does well on leash, gets along with other dogs and has been tested with cats. Luna is ready for her forever home.
History: Luna was an abandoned street dog.
Health: When Luna came to the rescue she tested positive for ehrlichia. She was treated successfully and retested with a PCR test which is now negative. Although she is now negative, she will need an annual test for tick fever.
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
