Meet Marnie – Affectionate, Energetic, and Ready for a Home of Her Own

Marnie is a lively, loving girl who is craving more than life at the rescue can give her. She thrives on human connection, loves belly rubs, and wants to be close to her people whenever possible. Marnie is affectionate, engaged, and happiest when she’s getting attention or sharing a quiet cuddle.

She enjoys playing with other dogs, though she can be selective, so slow, thoughtful introductions are important. Marnie is strong on leash and still polishing her manners, but she’s smart, responsive, and making progress with consistent guidance.

Marnie needs a foster or adopter who can give her structure, exercise, and—most importantly—time outside the rescue environment. She’s been waiting, and it’s starting to show. With the right home, she’ll settle quickly and shine.

History: Marnie was rescued from a garbage dump with her 5 puppies. Sadly, only 1 of her pups survived parvo.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
