Meet Mayah – An Easy-to-Love Girl Who Belongs in a Home
Mayah is the kind of dog who makes you feel lucky just sharing space with her. She’s calm, affectionate, and deeply connected to her people. In her foster home, she’s been an absolute joy — well-mannered, relaxed, and easy to live with.
She loves closeness. Mayah is a snuggler, a leaner, and a true hugger who happily settles in beside you and stays there. She’s fully house trained, knows her basic commands, and is eager to please. Around the house, she’s polite and respectful — the kind of dog you don’t have to manage, just enjoy.
Mayah gets along well with other dogs and enjoys walks, beach time, and quiet downtime with her people. She does have a prey drive, so a secure, fenced yard is required, and she’ll need a home without cats or small animals.
What Mayah Needs:
A loving adopter ready to make her part of the family
A secure, fenced yard
No cats or small animals
Mayah doesn’t need fixing or training — she just needs someone to love her as much as she loves back. We adore her, and we know the right home will too.
History: It is rare but does happen. Our sweet Mayah was originally a Cortez Rescue pup and sadly, through absolutely no fault of her own, was an owner surrender. She now has been gifted a second chance to find her loving, forever family.
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
