Meet Nate 💛 – Ready for His Next Chapter

Nate is one of those dogs you notice right away — that soft blond coat, athletic build, and an easy, outdoorsy kind of presence. He’s about a year old and 38 lbs, settling into that ideal medium size that fits just about any lifestyle.

He’s playful, curious, and genuinely enjoys being around people. Nate will happily explore his surroundings, jump into playtime, or lean in for a bit of attention. There’s a connection he’s looking for — you can see it in how he engages — he just hasn’t had the consistency of a home to really let it grow.

And that’s the piece that’s missing.

Kennel life isn’t where Nate is meant to be. He’s a good dog with a lot going for him — smart, capable, and ready — but he needs space, routine, and someone of his own to bring that out fully.

He’s not a project. He’s potential, just waiting for the right environment to take shape.

What Nate Needs:

Before leaving Cortez Rescue: All dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
