I've found my furever family!

Negrita is leashed trained and likes her walkies! Oh and she loves the water! She can be a confident fun pup when comfortable but is more shy and curious to start.

Foster Update: I am the biggest of my 4 sisters but I am not a bully.  If I have a routine, I will wait patiently knowing I will get my turn.  I am a confident pup, curious but not a leader.  I am very loyal to my pack - both human and dog.  I really love having my belly rubbed and will roll over whenever someone approaches who might pet me.  I am super sweet and love to cuddle near my humans and let my doggie siblings sleep all over me.  I rarely bark.  I like to play with my siblings but I have not had much contact with other dogs yet and I am a bit shy of them.  

All of the dogs from this litter are extremely food motivated and train well with treats. They understand a stern voice and quickly stop doing what they are doing if used. They know “sit” and “gentle” in English and Spanish. Although they go to the bathroom frequently, they can hold it all night and try to go away from their living area when they do need to go.  They always go to the bathroom off trail, in bushes, or away from human scent. They do not understand a leash yet but will respond to a whistle. For the time we had them they did not chew on things.

Negrita has been tested with cats. She seems distrustful of them but doesn’t attack them; more that she is unsure of them.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to insure optimum health, current vaccinations, and desexed
