Hello! My name is Nika! I'm currently in Baja, MX. But I'm ready to fly to you!! Would you like to foster or adopt me? I'm very sweet and ready for adventure! I'm learning quickly but loud noises kinda scare me but I'm working on getting more comfortable with that. I like to be close to you because it makes me feel more secure. I ask to go outside to go potty and I am learning to swim in the ocean! I am full of love and cuddles and want someone to share them with. Would you like to adopt me?!

Foster Update 04/22/24:

Nika is very sweet and loving and just wants to be close to you at all times. Her recall is quite good and she can sit, leave it(when sniffing or trying to eat things she shouldn't) and is starting to learn to wait for her food. She does startle easily with strange and loud noises. She needs to be kept close to give her a sense of security when walking down a busy street. She is not fond of loud cars and ATV's ripping by. She is learning how to swim, but is a little shy of the waves when they move. Nika does great on a paddle board and looks adorable in her life jacket! She asks to go out to pee and hasn't chewed on anything. She is great in the car! Overall just an incredible dog! Someone will be lucky to have her! 

Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to insure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and desexed. Cortez dogs are not microchipped.
