2/22: weight is 43 lbs

Foster Update: Pulmo is doing great. Altogether he is a very sweet boy! He was very timid at first. I could barely catch him to put on a leash and he would not come into the house. What a difference a few days make. Now he comes to the door and can’t wait to come in and he stay with us when walking. He lays on the bed we gave him. He is very sweet tempered.

I have to credit my dogs for most of his progress. He really likes them and pretty much does whatever they do. Unfortunately, that includes jumping on the furniture which we let them do. When we walk, he stays with them and plays with them. They come and stay on command, so he does it too. He is not protective of food. I fed him separately at first just to make sure but he was fine eating in the vicinity of the other dogs.

Pulmo is still wary of other people and dogs he does not know. When my husband came home from his trip, he was afraid of him at first. When we come upon others when walking he no longer tries to run away but does keep his distance. He does not like the car much but I am trying to get him accustomed to it.

If you like Black Labs then this is your boy! Pulmo is super fun, loves to play, play, play....with people or other dogs. Very smart and energetic. Would be a great hiking buddy.
