The little girl was tied up during her pregnancy. She had 9 puppies, 6 of which died from being run over or from starvation. They lived in an alley in Miraflores. A neighbor of the "owner" gave them food. The owner's excuse for abandoning her was "she was no longer useful to me."
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to insure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and desexed. Cortez dogs are not microchipped.
