Meet Quentin – Ready for a Home, Not Another Wait

Quentin is a 9-month-old rescue pup who’s been lucky enough to grow up in foster care instead of a kennel. He’s already potty trained, understands house routines, and knows his basic commands — a huge head start for a dog his age.

He’s a sweet, people-focused boy who enjoys walks, playtime, and being close to his humans. Quentin is smart, affectionate, and eager to please, with that perfect balance of youthful energy and good manners. He’s not a project dog — he’s a solid, ready companion.

Quentin is ready now for adoption and truly needs a permanent home so he doesn’t lose the stability he’s gained in foster care.

What Quentin Needs:

  • A committed home ready for a young, active dog

  • Continued structure, exercise, and companionship

  • Someone who wants a loyal, loving dog now, not “someday”

Quentin has done everything asked of him. It’s time for someone to show up for him — and not let him wait any longer.

History: Quentin was found abandoned with his sibling Queenie in nearby town.

Foster Notes: For clarification their foster parent had named them after they were named at the rescue. Keeping things easy for the rescue is important so when reading below - Canella is Queenie and Cona is Quentin.

Canella (Queenie) is a sweet, smart, and loving 9-month-old girl. She can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’s incredibly affectionate. She loves beach walks, playing in the water, and is learning quickly with her training.

Cona (Quentin) is her playful brother, full of energy and always ready for fun. He adores the beach just as much as his sister and is also picking up training very quickly. He’s already showing great manners and sits patiently before meals.

They’d love to find a forever home together, but they can also thrive in separate loving homes. Both are friendly, smart, and ready to bring so much joy to their new families.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue: All dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
