Tessa is a sweet female pup with so much love to give. In her foster home, she’s shown what a gem she truly is — she gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves being held, and never gets tired of pets and affection.
This smart girl already knows how to sit, is house trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. It’s clear she was loved at some point, which makes it all the more heartbreaking that she was given up. Still, her resilience and gentle heart shine through.
Tessa does have one fear — thunderstorms. When the skies rumble, she quietly finds comfort in her crate or a cozy spot like the closet. With a patient and loving home, she’ll continue to feel safe and secure.

Before leaving Cortez Rescue: All dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
