Zarah – The One Everyone Passes By
Zarah is the kind of dog people stop and notice. Beautiful short coat, expressive face, and a presence that draws you in. But what really matters is who she is when the moment quiets down — a gentle, affectionate dog who just wants to belong to someone.
She’s friendly, playful, and loves time in the pool or being out with her dog friends. She knows her basic commands, walks well on leash, and has shown she can coexist with calm cats when introduced properly. Zarah has all the pieces in place. She is not a project. She is ready.
And yet… she’s still here.
Zarah has been overlooked, and that’s the hard truth. While others come and go, she waits. She watches people walk past her kennel, hoping this time might be different.
She would thrive in an active home with space to move and a person or family who wants a real companion — a dog to share life with, not just visit.
What Zarah Needs:
A committed adopter
An active home with room to play
Someone ready to include her in everyday life
Relocation is available, so distance doesn’t have to be the reason she’s passed by again.
Zarah is ready now. She has been ready.
She just needs someone to finally choose her.
Watch my video on how I interact with cats! (Disclaimer: As part of our dedication to the welfare of all animals under our care, we conduct basic cat testing for dogs brought into our rescue. However, it's essential to understand that while we strive to assess their compatibility with cats, we cannot guarantee their behavior in all situations.)
History: These puppies were abandoned outside a local animal clinic.
Before leaving Cortez Rescue, all dogs will be given a full medical assessment to ensure optimum health, be current on vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.
