Start Your Saturday with Cortez Rescue!

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? First, head to the Los Barriles Saturday Market at Laguna Park from 9 AM to 12 PM. Next, take a short five-minute walk to Mini-Cortez Pup-Ups on Don Pepe from 10 AM to 12:30 PM. As a result, you’ll enjoy a morning full of shopping, puppy love, and community connection.

First, Visit the Cortez Rescue Booth

The Saturday Market is always buzzing. You’ll find fresh fruit, local produce, and handmade goods. In addition, you can grab delicious food while browsing artisan stalls.

Also, make sure to stop by the Cortez Rescue Saturday Market booth. Here, you can pick up swag like shirts and hats, stickers,and other fun Cortez items.

This season, we also have beautiful greeting cards by Joyce Findlay. The Painted Canvas has graciously given us permission to print her artwork to help raise money for Cortez Rescue and Outreach. Card themes this season are Christmas, Baja and Animals. Joyce’s cards are amazing. All are blank inside and a select few are birthday cards. In addition we will have sun glass cases, dog pooh bag holders and playing card holders made by another great supporter Terri Henderson. Every item sold supports food, medical care, and shelter for our pups. Because of your purchases, more dogs can find forever homes.

Next, Walk to the Pup-Ups

After you’ve finished shopping, take a quick five-minute walk to Mini-Cortez, right across from Chapito’s Express. Then, from 10 AM to 12:30 PM, join us for the Saturday Pup-Ups.

You can meet adoptable dogs, chat with volunteers, and enjoy the fun. Families and kids love visiting, and dog lovers always leave smiling. Best of all, it’s free to attend, so there’s no reason to miss it!

Then, Learn How You Can Help

At both the market and Mini-Cortez, volunteers will answer your questions. For example, you can ask about fostering, walking dogs, or joining our community programs. Also, you’ll learn how even small acts of kindness add up. As a result, you’ll see how you can make a real difference.

Finally, Why It Matters

Cortez Rescue & Outreach rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes abandoned dogs across East Cape. We also participate in spay and neuter clinics to prevent more suffering. Because of your support, we can keep changing lives.
