Come meet a rotating selection of our adoptable dogs, learn about the adoption process, and spend time connecting with pups who are patiently waiting for their forever homes. Whether you’re actively looking to adopt or just want to show some love, this is a relaxed way to support rescue while enjoying one of the East Cape’s favorite spots.
While you’re there, be sure to check out our Cortez Rescue merchandise, including popular tees, decals, and other rescue goodies. Purchases and on-site donations directly support the care, medical needs, and future placement of our dogs — every bit helps us keep saving lives.

Cortez Rescue invites you to join us every Saturday from 10 AM to 12:00 PM at Mini-Cortez on Don Pepe. The Saturday Pup-Ups are the perfect chance to meet adoptable dogs, enjoy puppy love, and connect with our rescue team.
The Los Barriles Saturday Market is only a short walk away. After browsing fresh foods and artisan goods, take just five minutes to visit Mini-Cortez. You’ll find us across from Chapito’s Express, at the first house on the right.
Families, kids, and dog lovers of all ages are welcome. You can cuddle puppies, meet older dogs, and see who is waiting for a forever home. It’s free to visit, and it’s one of the happiest ways to spend a Saturday morning.
Our volunteers are happy to answer questions. Ask about fostering, walking dogs, or joining our community events. In addition, you can learn how even small acts of kindness make a big impact. As a result, you’ll see how easy it is to get involved.
Cortez Rescue & Outreach rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes abandoned dogs across Baja Sur. We also support spay and neuter programs to prevent future suffering. Because of your support, many dogs get a second chance at life.
